Outdoor Living

outdoorliving
Happy Monday! Did you have a nice weekend? Spring is finally here & we spent our entire weekend outside. One of my favorite things about spring weather is being able to eat all of our meals outside. & once the kids are in bed my husband & I love evenings on the patio with wine and cheese!

After we move and get settled in our home (at the end of May), I hope to start shopping for new patio furniture. I’d love to set up an outdoor entertaining space with an oversized wooden table mixed with modern style chairs. Any ideas?

I’d also love to set up a cute children’s seating area. I thought it might be fun to have a mini children’s picnic table. Harper and Rex would be able to dine together and with their friends. I’d also LOVE to finally have a swing set for them. I remember playing for hours as a child on our swing set & I know they’d really love one!

Our new yard will have lots of trees and finally some shade, so I’d love to hang a hammock where I can relax and read a magazine on cooler evenings.

Ok, so there are a lot of wants, but outdoor space will be as important as indoor space once we move and I cannot wait to begin enjoying a fabulous new yard. Here is a peek at our new space:

Outdoor Spaces

Hillside Retreat

Southern NJ is not great place for outdoor living, but I still dream of having a beautiful outdoor space. We currently have a 10 year old townhouse with a small deck. Once the summer heat ends, we can hopefully start enjoying dinner & drinks outdoors (without having to worry about sunblock and bug spray!)

I love checking out beautiful outdoor spaces. These are 4 of my favorite outdoor rooms ideas via Sunset Mag

Summer Wreath

I decided that it was time to take down my winter wreath yesterday. I have one of those white feather wreaths and I love it for winter.

I was googling wreaths to find some pretty ideas for spring and summer and found this AMAZING succulent wreath. After some digging, I found the ENTIRE DIY on Prudent Baby. Ahhh, I am so excited… how fun!

Table Cloth

Do you use table cloths? I’ve been looking for pretty spring/summer ideas and found this beautiful red and cream striped one from Anthropology.

Now I am thinking I need to trade in my round dining table for a rectangular one!
