DIY Gold Bulletin Board

This is the bulletin board I picked up for $2.00 at a yard sale. I liked that it was nice and big even though it had some wear and tear to it. I had previously covered it with fabric, but was not real happy with the way it looked or worked. Whenever I pinned something up on it, it was so hard to push the tacs through the fabric.

So, I decided to try painting it with one of my favorite new paint finds, Rust-oleum Painter’s Touch Metallic Gold paint. You can purchase a 32 oz. can from Home Depot for about $8.50. This paint is fantastic and often goes on with only 1 coat. (I only used 1 thick coat for the bulletin board.)

Anyway, I love how the new board looks shiny and rich! I cannot wait to decorate my inspiration board. & I will as soon as I finish up my next DIY project… making my tacs a bit prettier.
