Indoor Pool

I found this home somewhat humorous! The pool seems a bit random, with leather couches and a cowhide rug placed right beside it! There is also a little side table that looks as if it is going to fall right in. I do love the pool swing though, FUN!

Opus Hotel Vancouver

Modern, bold, luxurious…the Opus Hotel in Vancouver caught my eye this morning as I was browsing boutique hotels around the world. I love the bright colors in the guest rooms and the sexy lighting in the bar. Did you notice the bright pink chairs in the restaurant? Such a great detail.

Have you visited to Vancouver? I have not, but I’m dying to explore this city!

1000 Square Foot Montreal Apt.

This 1000 square foot Montreal apartment completely blew me away! My favorite room is the colorful master bedroom with those gorgeous pocket doors and unique vintage chandelier.

Loving the vintage artwork and stripe-y black and white run. They sell a similar one at IKEA.

WOW = the bright yellow lamp base. Create one using spray paint!

Needlepoint pillows add so much interest.

Design Star

Have you ever seen Design Star? I’m hoping to watch episode 1 of season 6 tomorrow on my DVR. I’ve never actually seen it, but have heard good things. I was scrolling through contestant design portfolios and thought I found my favorite designer, Emily Henderson, until I realized she was on season 5! Anyway, here are a few of my fave images from her portfolio:

Mark Diaz’s design portfolio also caught my eye. He’ll be on season 6, & I’m pretty sure that he’ll be one of my favorites. Mark seems to have a really contemporary/sexy edge. It feels fancy, yet comfortable. I would love to get a pedicure in that salon!
