A Cabin in Panama

Have you ever been to Panama? I haven’t, but if I were to go I’d love to stay at the Punta Caracol Acqua-Hotel. The hotel is remote and you have to take a flight from Panama City to get there. It resides on stilts over the Caribbean, on a mile-long coral-reefed coast. There are only 9 cabins that are constructed in traditional local style – native plants, clay, bamboo and wild cane, with a palm leaf roof.

It sounds like just the kind of remote, organic destination that I am looking for! I imagine our days spent kayaking and snorkling, and evenings with lots of wine and fruit!
