16th-Century Home on the Yucatán Peninsula

Nicolas Malleville, an Argentine model, and his wife, Francesca Bonato, an Italian fashion designer, bought a 16th-century building in Valldolid on the Yucatán Peninsula, which they converted from a one-room basic structure to a two-bedroom 5,000-square-foot home shaped around a courtyard.

the couple bought the house in 2005 for $200,000 and spend spent about $80,000 on the renovation. my favorite room is the main room which has floor tiles that date back to the 16th century! via nytimes.com
Giraffe Stack Pots

i love these cute little Giraffe Pots from Anthropologie. maybe for growing herbs on the windowsill?
…or possibly in the nursery?
The Taxhof

the Taxhof Inn is located in the Austrian Alps. it has been owned by the same family since 1687 & is attached to a big working farm. — cows, sheep, goats, donkeys, ponies, chickens, quails, rabbits, cats and there is even a petting zoo for the kids! this is the view from the Docbodnsuite. isn’t it fantastic?

white spaces

i’m so attracted to white spaces- a white space is like a blank canvas. i love the splashes of color in this home. the hot pink rug in the dining room is amazing! photography by Stellan Herner via whimsicalworldoflaurabird.blogspot.com
a Historic Georgian House

this historic georgian was built in 1801 & sits on 23 acres in Somerset, England. it was restored in 2004 by a family of 6. it took 4 years to complete the renovation and i just LOVE what they did to it! my favorite rooms include the huge dining room and the ballroom turned modern kitchen. for more visit tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com
a Macaroon Shop

Theurel & Thomas is located in Monterrey, Mexico and may just be the prettiest store that i have ever seen. what an amazing idea to decorate in all white and let the Macarons speak for themselves. Yum Yum!
