Costa Rica Eco-Resort

sometimes i think i should rename this blog “Spearmint Decor and Travel!”
beautiful hotels always inspire me. i came across this one in the Fodors.com newsletter. Lapa Ríos is an absolutely gorgeous eco-resort in Costa Rica. i love that the cabins are built in the jungle so you can experience the natural wildlife, but you are also so close to the sea!
Modern Eclectic Condo

this condo has so much character- it is hard to believe that it was once a cookie cutter space! i love that there are so many textures… Mongolian throws, velvet, linens, suede and cashmere.
can you believe that the wall behind the bed is painted with chalkboard paint? wow, somebody has some amazing talent with a piece of chalk! i’m also loving that cozy corner with the black leather chair. i would have never thought to hang pictures so low, but they look amazing!
PINK house

WOW! this is seriously hilarious. in the event that this is real/not photoshopped, do you think they asked their neighbors for permission? via thehousethatlarsbuilt.blogspot.com
a Loft

i just fell in love with this gorgeous 525 sq/ft loft! i could literally lounge in that bed ALL DAY LONG! and i have a feeling that a bowl of fiber 1 could taste good in that dining room
making a mental note: vintage bowling pins!

Hi Hotel Eco Spa & Beach

the Hi Hotel Eco Spa & Beach is definitely the most colorful hotel in the south of France! i am kind of obsessed with that big, grey, concrete tub in the first photo. the view from the deck and the beach look pretty fab as well!
Make Fabric!

last week on Poppytalk Handmade there was this amazing DIY on making beautiful fabrics. i’m bookmarking for myself and sharing with you! the fabrics that they made are just GORGEOUS!

Kitchen Remodels

2 kitchen remodels that give hope to the ugliest of kitchens! aren’t these amazing? white cabinets seem like they will never go out of style. my next kitchen is going to be white with a subway tile back splash! photos via Design Sponge
One-Room Shack

did you read this photo-story in the NY Times Online. i am fascinated with John Wells and the life he has built in the Texas desert. i am kinda wanting to do a drive by just so i can have a conversation with him at the Grub Shack!
