my new fav photographer

a few photographs by my new fav. photographer, Robert Polidori.  Enjoy!

Robert Polidori was born in 1951 in Montreal, Canada, to a French Canadian mother and a Corsican father. He moved to the United States when he was ten and arrived in New York in 1969, where he got as job as an assistant to filmmaker Jonas Mekas at the Anthology Film Archives, producing a number of avant-garde films in the early 1970s. In 1980 he received an M.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and subsequently turned his attention to still photography. He has been living in Paris and New York City since 1987. He is listed as a staff photographer with The New Yorker magazine and makes frequent contributions to other magazines such as Vanity Fair.

in my effort to find a cheaper car…

so, husband and i are thinking of getting rid of the BMW. the payments are just way too much and now that he has an office only 10 minutes from the house we just need a dependable vehicle. so….i found this, and i think it is really awesome, but i don’t know if he will go for it!

1975 AMC JEEP WAGONEER 360 (5.9 L) AMC Gasoline V-8, 4×4 or 4×2, Automatic Transmission, 2-barrel carburetor, All original. Rated at 19 mpg on the Highway and 15 mpg in the City. The vehicle started out as a National Parks Ranger Truck. You will notice the original Bumblebee Yellow in the interior. It was repainted to grey goose a few years back and it compliments the interior and it’s age very well. The seat are in very good condition and very comfortable but with a bit of wear just to the driver’s side bench. All belts present, original radio, dials, and insignias. Rust in all the expected and common places with these old AMCs.

New steel transmissions lines professionally installed, starter coil, as well as all fluids replaced. Motor and transmission running smooth and very strong, if you are not used to a 360 V8 it’ll throw you back in the sit. A great country estate car or beach cruiser, with lots of room for camping or whatever especially with the folded up rear seat. Great surfer car, functional for any lifestyle. Classic lines, and a major head turner.
